Picture Perfect: Andy Warhol Photo Factory

Fotografiska NY

September 21, 2021

When it comes to Warhol we’ll do anything to toast his fame…whether the moment lasts 15 mins or more. So, when our Fotografiska friends were craving some Flavor – for the second time; we teamed up earlier in the year for the museum's Tom of Finland exhibit –  for its Andy Warhol Photo Factory show we happily helped, wallpapering the primary exhibition space with our Shoes in Diamond Dust design and retail zone with our Selfie EZ Papes. We also sold Selfie and Small Flowers in Full Spectrum at its shop so visitors could easily #savortheflavor. The exhibit, which opened September 10th and runs through February 20, 2022, features over 120 images spanning the artist’s life and career. Many are rare and never before seen; all offer an intimate visual review of his iconic Polaroid portraits of himself and his celeb crew, as well as include photo strips, gelatin silver prints, and stitched photographs. It’s an excellent eye-candy trip through Warhol’s experimentation with the medium and how it led to his early silkscreen paintings and commercial work, and we highly recommend you check it out. Bravo Fotografiska and thanks for the love!

P.S. The show is travelling to Stockholm post NYC, so if you can’t make it here try to make it there. Our Shoes will be dancing on the walls at that show, too.
