Upstate State of Mind

Hudson Valley, NY

October 8, 2021

Fall is on in NY! For those who are already hopping around the Hudson Valley / heading up to do some leaf peeping — it’s a thing and we’re down with it — we highly recommend you make moves to the Kingston Design Connection Showhouse to check out the full-spectrum flora Flavor (a.k.a. Enfumé in Acid) that FP founder and creative director, as well as KDC board member, Jon Sherman, designed and donated to help bring Maryline Damour’s enchanting 'Anywhere But Here' room to life. Maryline, who is an interior designer, friend and the brains behind the annual Showhouse, selected our French scenic style mural to complement and amplify her room’s daydreamy vibe thanks to its hypnotic color palette, rich painterly details, life-like scale and texture, and three-dimensional reality. And, once you experience the space, whether in person or by these pics, we trust you’ll feel tranquil and transported…to wherever you want to be. I mean, who couldn’t use a little escapism these days?!! While this is naturally our favorite spot in the house, the rest of it is pretty spectacular, too, and definitely worth a visit. But, hurry because the magic is only on view until October 24th; you can score tickets here. Bravo to all of the designers, local makers and artists in the mix, and big thanks to everyone who supports and fosters creativity, community and value in the area! Kingston is where it's at!

P.S. In case you missed it, here's a look at how we created a flavorful, family-friendly landing area for the large Griffin gang at the 2019 showhouse.
