Artist Dan Funderburgh is a loyal member of the Chinatown Soccer Club—a crew of artists, photographers, designers, writers, and skateboarders who meet year-round for friendly soccer matches. Dan designed Chinatown Toile for the 2008 European Cup in collaboration with Adidas for use in a CSC clubhouse. This illustrated design depicts modern life in New York City's Chinatown, starring deliverymen with cases of fish, tagged-up box trucks, people weighing produce, piles of pallets, and people napping on park benches, all set against tree-lined Chinoiserie-style toile settings.
Our Light Sage colorway features delicate linework hand-screened in a pale green, water-based ink onto silver Mylar, creating an illuminating effect.
Dan Funderburgh's witty, contemporary twist on traditional wallpaper illustrations made him the first Flavor Paper artist collaboration in 2005. We've been creating beautifully mischievous and irreverent wallpapers since. Dan has an uncanny ability to mash up geometric and floral patterns with classical and comical content.
