Arbor Vitae
In the spirit of adding feel-good vibes to the world, Flavor Paper has cultivated a departure design (of sorts) that offers a fresh take on classic Chinoiserie – feast your eyes on Arbor Vitae. Rooted in an 18-century etching discovered in a Gowanus, BK storage unit by Flavor founder and creative director, Jon Sherman, this mural maintains the historical integrity of the work while moving modern with an au current color palette and unexpected materials. For example: Stormy and Twilight are printed on a mirrored Mylar ground that really comes to life with a quiet ombre effect; Dawn and Misty make magic with an ombre on a stunning and satiny textured Type II Vinyl; and Lucky, well, Lucky is quite the lovely lady in a lipstick red that’s also printed on the linen-like Vinyl. Clearly, Arbor Vitae is a natural selection for people and places craving tranquil yet dynamic, whimsical yet sophisticated, luxurious and livable art that will stand the test of time…or until you axe it!
