Warhol Brooklyn Bridge
Piet Primary
Designed by Andy Warhol x Flavor Paper
In 1983, the Brooklyn Centennial Commission hired Andy Warhol to create an image to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge. This handscreened wallpaper demonstrates his signature color-block technique with multiple layered bridge images to create the Warhol Brooklyn Bridge three-dimensional aesthetic.
The classic Mondrian colors of red, blue, and yellow are interlayered on a mirror-like black Mylar to create the fun and engaging Piet Primary colorway.
Andy Warhol was a leading figure in the pop art movement of the 1960s and is considered one of the most important artists of the late 20th Century. The Andy Warhol x Flavor Paper Collection represents our interpretations of Warhol's work—some iconic and others handpicked from deep in the artist's archives—released in a globally exclusive partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, which has been ongoing since 2013.
