Inspired by Vincent van Gogh's 1889 painting, Les Iris, our Iris wallpaper brings the beautiful irises the artist viewed in the garden outside his room in a Saint-Rémy, France asylum onto your walls. The painting itself was an early form of art therapy, and a similar solace can be found in viewing this energetic and expressive pattern. Our repeating handscreened interpretation captures the movement of the original work, forming a striking, large diamond-shaped trellis pattern.
The Wasabi colorway offers a natural feel, featuring a color-shifting green ink in the leaves that ranges from soft to vibrant based on the lighting. The flowers also boast color-shifting ink accents, shifting from metallic sky blue to lavender, set against a subtle periwinkle blue base. This periwinkle blue also provides the accents within the leaves. All these dynamic colors are sharply outlined in a dark matte green, with the gold Mylar base providing bright, accentuating flashes of light peeking through.
