Cuben is a complex array of hexagons created by Simon C. Page. The transparency of each shape allows their overlapping segments to take on the combined coloration of their neighbor, which creates an impossibly intricate web of shade shifting and color additive mixing. This also creates a 3D effect where you see the hexagons form in varying sizes and locations as your eye moves about.
Chroma is an appropriate name for this colorway as the perpetual layering creates an abundance of shades and aggregations of hues.
Simon C. Page is a British graphic designer based in London whose philosophy is “Good design excites,” and he walks the walk. His degree in Applied Mathematics is well showcased in his work.
