“Fruity Scents to Yummy Up a Room”
“Michael Angelo, the owner of the Wonderland Beauty Parlor, remembers that when he first heard about Flavor Paper, a New Orleans wallcovering company, he thought the name cried out for a scratch-and-sniff wallpaper. Mr. Angelo’s hair salon in the meatpacking district is now Flavor Paper’s New York showroom, and he recently got the chance to design that wallpaper. The Fruit Cocktail Collection is a series of Mylar wallcoverings with scratch-and-sniff images and names like Cherry Forever and B-A-N-A-N-A-S. (The scent is applied using slurries, the microcapsules of fragrance used in perfume strips.)”
