ShweShwe, a commonly seen print in South African and Lesotho cultures from the 1800’s, gets a contemporary revival in our latest print with Ghislaine Viñas. Thirty years after moving out of South Africa, Viñas was inspired by ShweShwe’s rich history and tradition, giving the fabric new life as wallpaper. The intricate, geometric pattern is offered in four colorways, each with names derived from South African wildlife—bringing ShweShwe full circle for the designer.
“I’m excited to bring my interpretation of ShweShwe, South Africa’s denim equivalent, to interior spaces. The enlarged design elements make it modern, and the colorways will really make your walls pop.”
