Designer Ghislaine Viñas’ ShweShwe is a contemporary revival of a print common in 1800s South African and Lesotho cultures. Viñas grew up surrounded by ShweShwe patterns and wanted to breathe new life into the concept, while respecting the rich history and tradition of the fabric style.
The Kingfisher colorway is stunning in its use of shades of blue. Cobalt, cornflower, royal, and navy blues are all isolated with a black outline, creating a depth and sense of serenity.
Ghislaine Viñas is a New York-based designer from the Netherlands who was raised in South Africa. Well known for her award-winning interior design, Ghislaine has produced dramatic compositions and playful color contrasts within exuberant designs around the globe.
