Iris Restaurant

New Orleans, LA

When Chef Ian Schnoebelen and Maitre D Laurie Casebonne decided to relocate their delicious restaurant Iris to the French Quarter it was time to match the decor to the intensity of the food, so they turned to Flavor Paper. They were interested in a few different patterns, but Jon remembered a Ted design that was based off of Van Gogh’s Iris paintings and decided it had to be recreated for the space. After painstakingly redrawing the entire piece and adding some slivers of ground and other touches Iris was reborn.

The colorway was designed to tie into their paint color and cobalt votives. We printed it on a Chrome Mylar in order to give it some reflectivity and to create movement within the print. It looks great and adds the Flavor they were looking for.
