Lilette

New Orleans, LA

Chef John Harris, one of Food & Wine’s Top New Chefs of 2002, is chef/owner of one of New Orlean’s finest restaurants, Lilette. Harris’ food is rooted in French and Italian tradition, but brings Asian influences to the forefront with his techniques.

Lilette is a romantic, tile-lined bistro, with classical overtones, but when Harris wanted to add reflections of the funkier and more contemporary side of his personality and food he turned to Flavor Paper to add some punch to the bathrooms. Harris chose Flower of Love in Caviar and Pleasure Dome in Sugar to work with the classic tiles and modern fixtures, lending the perfect twist to the restaurant’s atmosphere. A reflection of the flavorful surprises you get when you sample Lilette’s absurdly delicious fare.

Michael Stipe went so far as to say this on Gwenyth Paltrow’s blog, “There is the most beautiful and weird bathroom I saw in New Orleans…they have my favorite weird wallpaper there.”
