“The wallpaper industry had worked itself into a corner where all wall coverings were deemed old-fashioned and grandmotherly. I wanted to shift the perceptions toward something new and exciting and driven toward a hipper crowd.” His influences are baroque and psychedelic: Japanese, Scottish, Dutch, Vegas, Miami. He has taken wallpaper somewhere new. It’s like jazz.
